The New York metro area is one of the largest in the world by both population and land area, spanning thousands of square miles across three states and multiple regions – so we know the task of identifying an ideal place to live in the region can be daunting. We have made it easy by curating and profiling 24 exceptional towns* in the region based on their excellent schools, convenient train access, and other prized amenities, providing you with details that give you a sense of what it would be like to call each town your home.
Additionally, we know that too many home buyers and sellers are dealing with real estate agents who lack detailed knowledge about the towns where they wish to purchase or sell a home. We have made it easy by identifying and vetting a selection of expert advisors who not only have long and stellar track records guiding home buyers and sellers, but also possess an intimate understanding of their towns and its surroundings. Indeed, all of our advisors have resided for years in or around the towns that we have curated and profiled. And all of them have raised children of their own in or around these towns, and have been active members of the local community. I created Blue Jay Towns because I want to share my insights about a variety of exceptional towns in the New York suburbs, so you can make a more clear-eyed, thoughtful decision about where you might want to live. And I want to connect people seeking to explore one or more of these towns with an advisor who actually knows the town inside and out – so you can be guided by a true expert.

A Message From Our Founder
I grew up in the New York metro area, and have lived here for most of my life. Whether to visit friends or colleagues, patronize a popular shop or restaurant, enjoy a beautiful hike or beach, or simply explore a new place for the sake of it, I have seen and experienced countless towns across New Jersey, the Hudson Valley, Connecticut, and Long Island. And as a father who previously lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn with two young children, I know where those who seek a more spacious and greener environment for their families outside the city would ideally love to call their home.
