Pelham is a town located in the southern Hudson Valley of New York State within Westchester County comprising two villages, Pelham and Pelham Manor. The town is co-terminus with the Pelham Union Free School District. Commuter rail access to New York City is available from Pelham Station. Additionally, subway access to New York City is available from Eastchester-Dyre Avenue Station in the nearby Eastchester neighborhood of The Bronx, and inter-city rail access to other major cities, including Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, is available from New Rochelle Station in neighboring New Rochelle.
Pelham has a neighborly vibe, with residents frequently seeing each other on walks to Pelham Station, the downtown retail area, or one of the public schools. Artistic attractions like the longstanding Pelham Art Center and the historic Picture House Regional Film Center help bring families and the broader community together. Beyond the walkability and cultural scene, residents most prize the high-quality public schools and close proximity to New York City, which is accessible via multiple forms of public transit.
